YEAR END REPORT- 2009

WELLOFLIFE CORE VALUES

"This was a very memorable year for all of us here at the WELLOFLIFE, we grew closer to God and closer as a family in the LORD. The volunteers have learned to overcome their fears and share their faith with boldness and courage with young and old. This is just the beginning. Thank you for partnering with us in this ministry!

"Ministry Highlights to the Best of My Recollection
January:
· ACDA Meeting - We hosted the "Alliance of Christian Development Agencies" meeting.
· WELLOFLIFE Garden - Continued developing our garden and experimenting organic practices
· Campogon Outreach - Taught organic farming and medical to Manobo-Bagobo & Bisaya tribes
· Awareness Seminar Finished - Taught Church members about CHE ministry and development.
· Baptized Margery x2 - Two of our helpers were baptized by Pastor Nanca and Jeffrey.
February:
· Langub Farmers Training - Taught organic farming to poor community for 4 months.
· CHE's Training - Trained Church members to do evangelism, first aid, heath care and visitations
· Preached at the Four Square Gospel Church - Was invited to share the Word of God by Pastor Jojo
· Salumay & Nangalid Outreach - Donated used clothing, did feeding and evangelism for Matigsalog tribe
· Mushroom Seminar - Learned how to culture mushrooms from banana leaves, grew mushrooms
March:
· TOT 2 - Conducted 3 day workshop of CHE "Training of Trainers" part 2 for volunteers of our ministry.
· Committee Training - Conducted 6 weeks committee training, not enough people attended, no committee.
April:
· Young Peoples Camp - 3 day camp at our compound training volunteers for children's ministry.
· Campogon Outreach - 2 day practical application of children's ministry in a very remote mountain village.
· Children's CHE Club - 5 day children's program at elementary school 80 joined, met every Saturday for 8 months and still ongoing, children are taught physical & spiritual stories by drama, games, songs etc.
· Literacy Training Workshop - 2 day training on child and adult literacy as evangelism for volunteers.
· Growth Group - Young people meet at our house every Tuesday for a growth group Bible study of Acts.
May:
· Soap Making - Volunteers learned how to make soap by Sowing the Master's Seed Ministry.
· Eye Screening Workshop - Volunteers learned how to conduct free eye screening by Dr. Al-Ag.
· Home Visitations and Baseline Survey's - Started reaching out to our neighbors in Purok 2 and 16.
June:
· Ernie Gonzalez' Farm - Started training organic farming practices and consultation to Dr. Gonzalez.
· Marilyn Teasley Visit - YWAM Jamaica Foundations in Community Development school leader visited.
July:
· Abegail Lumimbay & Fely Llamadora - Started working with family to get them medical attention.
· David Martin Internship - David came and stayed with us to learn organic farming and help our ministry.
David helped set up our vermi-culture project, gardens and chicken raising project. Donated a laptop.
· Natural Farming Seminar - Jeffrey was invited to do a 1 day seminar for pastors of "Alliance" Churches.
· WELLOFLIFE 1 year Anniversary - Celebrated our humble beginnings and enjoyed food and fellowship.
August:
· Elementary School Garden - Clearing land for school garden and availed a donation of 2 greenhouses for the school from D.A., our memorandum of agreement was denied, school is continuing the project.
· Medical Outreach - Landing Darong - Conducted free medical check-ups to adults and elderly, feeding.
September:
· Cebu - Took Josiah to apply for Canadian Citizen Certificate. Visited Lydia's friends from YWAM.
· Visioning Seminar Conducted a CHE Visioning Seminar for an AG Church leadership team. Rested.
October:
· Singapore - Visited Lydia's aunt Fely a Pastor and spoke in their church. Stayed with friend Dr. Lim Su Min who is also involved in training CHE teams. Explored Singapore, shared about our CHE ministry.
· Malaysia - Went for a 2 day home stay with a Malaysian family in a Muslim community. Relaxed.
· TOT 2 (A) Camp - 3 day CHE training camp in collaboration with YWAM Davao DTS team.
· Lower and Upper Sabang, Valencia Outreach with YWAM - Mountain outreach distributing used clothing, school supplies, feeding the community members, evangelism through drama, dance, games etc.
November:
· Donated eggplant seedlings to San Miguel Elementary School.
· Redeemed our garden from weeds and replanted eggplant, tomatoes, beans, lettuce etc.
· Hugpong Hygiene Workshop - Trained an NGO's volunteers for 3 days on hygiene, to teach community.
December:
· Worked on proposal to build 100 latrines in 20 communities for Givers Trust Sacred Heart Philippines.
· Planning for ALS - A program to be implemented in 2010 targeting 50 out-of-school youth to help them prepare for 10 months to write their equivalency exam and obtain elementary or high school diplomas.
· Christmas Retreat at Malagos Resort - Treated staff to an outing for our Christmas retreat.
